National Geography Bee
The National Science Bee is one of the cornerstone competitions offered by the International Academic Competitions (IAC), designed for elementary and middle school students with a strong interest in science. The contest features three progressive stages: an Online Regional Qualifying Exam (ORQE), in-person or online Regional Finals, and the National Championships held annually over Memorial Day weekend in Orlando, Florida. The competition covers a broad range of science topics through multiple-choice and buzzer-based rounds. Top-performing students at Nationals are also eligible for the prestigious International Environmental Science Olympiad, a five-day global event involving competitions, field trips, and educational activities.

National Science Bee
The National Geography Bee, part of the IAC’s flagship trio of subject competitions, offers students the chance to showcase their understanding of geographical concepts, physical features, political boundaries, and more. Like the History and Science Bees, this competition includes an ORQE, followed by regional competitions and a National Championship event. The bee uses buzzer-style questions read aloud by moderators and integrates visual aids such as maps and graphs to challenge students’ spatial awareness and geographical reasoning. Top competitors may also qualify for the United States Geography Championships, a more intensive geography competition.

National History Bee
The National History Bee challenges students to demonstrate their knowledge of historical events, figures, and processes through a competitive buzzer-based format. Structured similarly to the Science Bee, the competition begins with an online qualifying exam followed by Regional Finals and culminates in the National Championships. Questions are arranged in descending order of difficulty, and gameplay rewards quick and accurate recall of historical facts. Participants can compete in different age divisions, and top students may be invited to represent their school or state in international events.
The International Academic Competitions also offers many other events, from a Political Science Bee to an all-round Academic Bee. For more information about these other competitions, visit their website: https://www.iacompetitions.com/
