Middle/High School Contest in Modeling (Mid/HiMCM)

HiMCM and MidMCM are national math modeling competitions for high school students (HiMCM) and younger students under 14.5 years (MidMCM), designed to build collaborative analytical thinking and technical writing skills. Teams of up to four students from each school work on open-ended problems during a one-week window in November, with full access to online research. There is no limit to the number of teams a school can submit. Preparation includes working through past problems, modeling workshops, and refining academic writing. The top eight teams gain national recognition and may be invited to present at a modeling conference.
