Latin Forum
What it is

The Florida Junior Classical League (FJCL) Latin Forum is a statewide competition for middle and high school students (grades 6–12) who study Latin. Students compete in a variety of academic and creative events, including tests on Latin language and Roman culture, art projects, dramatic performances, and Certamen—a quiz bowl on classical topics. Athletic events and team challenges are also part of the program. Regional competitions take place early in the year, leading to a three-day State Forum in March. Awards are given to top individuals and schools, and strong performers may be invited to join the Florida delegation at the National Junior Classical League Convention. Students prepare through Latin classes, school clubs, and team practices.
