Physics Bowl
What it is
AAPT Physics Bowl

The PhysicsBowl, hosted by the American Association of Physics Teachers, is an international competition for middle and high school students, testing knowledge in physics subjects such as mechanics, optics, electromagnetism, and modern physics. Students compete individually in a 45-minute, 40-question multiple-choice exam, with first-year physics students in Division 1 and more experienced students in Division 2. The top five scores from each school are aggregated for a team ranking. Preparation involves physics club sessions and course-based review. Recognition is awarded at the international level for both individuals and schools.
What We Do
This competition benchmarks physics comprehension and offers students a platform to gain visibility and distinction in the global STEM community.
